  • 11:00 Opening of the doors of Hildegard’s Garden in Old Town, introduction to the garden.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Hildegard of Bingen (Hildegard von Bingen) was an influential but modest nun who lived in the 12th century – a mystic, visionary, poet, composer, as well as a systematic describer of nature and natural healing methods of her era.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • 12:00 “Under the spell of scents” \u2013 a guided tour of Hildegard’s herb garden.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      We will introduce the medicinal and aromatic plants of the Old Town garden, including those that are not usually grown in the home garden. Plant knowledge club, natural healing, and scents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      • 13:00 Lecture “Hildegard’s herbs as kitchen and edible plants – everyday food is medicine”.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        We will introduce selected plants from Hildegard’s garden and their uses in the context of Hildegard’s descriptions and uses. Facilitator: Hildegard Society, Heli Kann.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        • 12:00-15:00 “Getting to know plants. Herbs and their uses. Hildegard’s recipes”.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Various workshops in the garden to learn about plants and introduce Hildegard’s healing methods. Supervised by: Hildegard Society and Hildegard’s Garden.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          • 14:00-15:00 Presentation and introduction of medieval sword art.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Medieval sword art and Tai-chi teachings are taught by a Taoist monk with 17 years of experience, sword fighter, masseur-therapist, and member of Hildegard’s Garden in the Old Town.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            • 14:00-17:00 Children in the garden.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              14:00 Children’s playroom and workshop, children’s fair stall.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

              16:00 Children’s plant knowledge club and quiz.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

              There is time and space to play in the garden: petanque and croquet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

              • 15:00 Opening of the plant catalog. Thanking the supporters and authors. Introduction of the catalog.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                The plant catalog is a “book” in the Old Town Garden that introduces the medicinal plants of Hildegard of Bingen. Using a QR code, you can quickly find and listen to a story introducing the plants selected for the book. The stories are presented in several languages.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                  Medieval lyricism in a medieval garden. The first Estonian-language secular poetry of Lower Germany and Tallinn. Performed by: Timur Mazitov – acoustic guitar, and vocals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
